Gold Tone IT-250F Irish Tenor Banjo (Vintage Brown)

Gold Tone IT-250F Irish Tenor Banjo (Vintage Brown) Review

Gold Tone IT-250F Irish Tenor Banjo (Vintage Brown) Feature

  • Sand cast brass tone ring
  • one piece flange and 14" traditional resonator assures a quality tone
The Gold Tone Irish Tenor banjos have always been a favorite in the Celtic arena. This model, the Irish Tenor 250 with flange (IT-250F) was recommended by Andy Perkins, owner of Andybanjo.com in Faversham, England, and is based on a custom design that he has already been building for some years in response to a demand for a more "up front" banjo than the well-regarded IT250 model. Andy helped to design this model which packs extra punch/volume and will "cut through" at crowded Celtic music sessions. Combining the refined and well-tested Gold Tone 17-fret tenor neck with a hard rock maple 3 ply rim, sand cast brass tone ring, one piece flange and 14" traditional resonator assures a quality tone - and lots of it!!
