The Maple Classic Banjo Kit (MC-Kit) is designed for the do-it-yourself craftsman. Based on an openback version of our MC-150R, it utilizes a vintage proven design which provides excellent tone! All maple wood parts are pre-shaped and ready for final sanding and finishing. The critical joints are all pre-cut and the slotted fingerboard is glued to the neck. The 11" maple rim is pre-made and guide holes are drilled. All metal parts are chrome-plated and ready for assembly. Features include maple neck, maple body, pre-slotted rosewood fingerboard, frets are all pre-cut, snow flake position markers (already inlayed) , double coordinator rods, sealed geared tuning machines, Straightline tailpiece, two-way adjustable truss rod, bone nut, Remo head. No special tools are needed. The openback MC-Kit, when built, provides an excellent banjo with the looks and tone for an openback playing.
